Record-Setting Pet Trick of the Day: A Fife guinea pig named Truffles showed the world he’s made of the stuff of legends by setting a new record for longest guinea pig jump ever recorded.

Truffles put the previous record of 20.5cm to shame with a monster leap across a 30cm expanse. In addition to an official framed certificate, the Guinness Book of Records promised to put Truffles front and center in the publicity for its upcoming 2013 edition.

What more could a guinea pig ask for? Except maybe a bit of lettuce and some fresh sawdust.

also took the girl in my life to the park again this morning.

i know she looks a little less than modest in this photo, but i promise she’s a real classy dame.

we had lots of frisbee fun, but then my hand got a blister from gripping the leash as she decided she wanted to befriend a goose. 

she befriends everybody except chickens, she chases those.
